This design was created by Second Chance Clothing with the help of our in house designer Joe Quade. It took many hours of hard work and creativity to complete this design. The design is a discharge / plastisol combination print. Discharge is a fabric-printing method in which the material is dyed and then certain areas are discharged so as to permit the original hue or its color replacement to act as a pattern against the colored ground. Plastisol is a suspension of PVC particles in a plasticizer; it flows as a liquid and can be poured into a heated mold. When heated to around 177 degrees, the plastic and plasticizer mutually dissolve each other. On cooling the mold below 60 degrees C, a flexible, permanently plasticized product results.
